Important: If your accommodation is at ‘Araçatiba’ or ‘Praia Vermelha’ on Ilha Grande, please refrain from booking this service as it does not take you to that side of the island.

Not Included
- Vehicles are not permitted on Ilha Grande, so you’ll need to find your own way from the Abraão tourist pier to your accommodation on the island.
- The boat only stops at the main pier in Abraão village (Vila do Abraão). If you’re staying at other locations on the island, travelling there from Abraão can be quite expensive.

- 1 medium suitcase (67 × 48 × 27 cm) OR 1 small carry-on (55 × 40 × 25 cm)
- 1 personal item (e.g. backpack) which will travel on your lap.
Extras:
- Oversized or additional luggage: $20 USD per piece (each way)
- Please inform us in advance about any unusual items, such as surfboards or strollers.
Important Notes:
- You are responsible for carrying and handling your own luggage.
- We are not liable for any lost items.
- If we recover a lost item, the return will incur a fee equal to the ticket.
Children’s Policy
- Reservations for children: if your child is between 1 & 4 years old, or you wish to bring a child seat, contact us to make a booking.
- Babies (up to 12 months):
- Can ride free on a parent’s lap
- If they’re in a car seat, the cost is half price
- Kids 1 year and 1 month to 3 years and 11 months old:
- Pay half price with rights to their own seat
- Kids 4 years and older:
- Full ticket price, with rights to their own seat
- Parents must bring car seats if they wish to use one; however, car seats are not legally required on the vehicles.
Pick-Up Notes
- We use WhatsApp as our preferred method for notifying you about pick-up times. Please make sure to provide your correct phone number when making your reservation.
- Head to our designated meeting point in the departure terminal to meet the van. This is a separate terminal to where arriving flights exit.
- You will receive the meeting point information along with your confirmation.
- Please be aware that delays may happen due to traffic or other passengers. The van is also picking up people from other areas of the city.

- For pick-ups from a hotel or apartment, you can book the Rio city to Ilha Grande transfer.

Approximate Travel Times
The transfer from the Rio airport to Ilha Grande(opens in a new tab) starts with road transport, followed by a boat crossing.
After departing Rio, the drive to the marina takes about 2 hours (depending on traffic). The boat crossing lasts approximately 25 minutes.
Please note that these times do not include any waiting periods for the van at the meeting point or at the boat departure point.

We recommend sun protection, as some seats may be exposed to direct sunlight. Life jackets are provided on board, and the boats maintain radio contact with the coast guard.

Please understand that the listed flight arrival times are merely for informational purposes and do not promise on-time arrival at the meeting point if there are any delays or complications with your flight.
Delays can occur during holidays and events such as Carnival and New Year’s.
Pick-Up Time & Details
The night before your transfer, you’ll receive a WhatsApp message with your estimated scheduled pick-up time. Please ensure you get to the meeting point on time.
Unfortunately, we cannot account for delays caused by flights. If you miss the van, it will be marked as a No Show, and refunds or rescheduling won’t be available. In cases where the delay was out of your control you could seek compensation from your travel insurance.

The meeting point at Santos Dumont Airport (SDU) is located in the Departure terminal, not in the terminal where you arrive; it’s the one where passengers check in for their flights.
Please wait by the information desk, signed as INFRAERO, which is situated at the main entrance of the departure terminal.

Private transfers are also available, and you can find the prices under the shared transfers while you make your booking.
Private Transfers
Upon your arrival at the airport, your designated driver will be waiting for you just outside the baggage claim area. They will be holding a sign with your name, making it easy for you to recognize them.
Private Vehicle + Shared Boat
This service picks-up passengers for flights arriving at the Santos Dumont airport between 5:00 AM and 3:00 PM. After you pick up your luggage, our driver will be waiting for you with a sign that has your name on it. They will take you to the Conceição de Jacareí marina, where you will receive a ticket for one of the following boat departures to the Abraão pier on Ilha Grande:

- 1:30 PM

- 6:00 PM
*Please note that the boat schedule is managed by a third-party provider and may change unexpectedly.
Private Vehicle + Private Boat
This option is the fastest way to Ilha Grande from the SDU airport. It also allows those people arriving later in the day when it is not possible to make it in time to get the last public boat to reach the island.
