And if you’re heading to Rio afterward, you can add an onward transfer to Rio de Janeiro at a discounted price during checkout, as well as to Rio airport.

Vehicle Type
- The type of vehicle provided for your transfer is based on the confirmed number of passengers on the day.
- Sedans (cars) and vans are available, with the choice tailored to match the group size.
- For this service, smaller groups are common, and therefore sedans are more often utilized.
Not included
- As there are no vehicles allowed on Ilha Grande, you will need to make your own way from the pier to your accommodation on the island
- Drop-off to other parts of the island. The boat stops only at the main pier in Vila do Abraão. Traveling from Abraão to other locations on the island may be costly
Baggage Rules
Included:
- 1 medium suitcase (67 × 48 × 27 cm) OR 1 small carry-on (55 × 40 × 25 cm)
- 1 personal item (e.g. backpack) which will travel on your lap
Extras:
- Oversized or additional luggage: $20 USD per piece (each way)
- Notify us ahead of time for unusual items like surfboards or strollers
Important Notes:
- You carry and handle your own luggage
- We are not liable for lost items
- If we recover a lost item, return is subject to a ticket fee
Children’s Policy
- Babies (up to 12 months):
- Can ride free on a parent’s lap
- If they’re in a car seat, the cost is half price
- Kids 1 year and 1 month to 3 years and 11 months old:
- Pay half price with rights to their own seat
- Kids 4 years and older:
- Full ticket price, with rights to their own seat
- Parents must bring car seats if they use one
- Car seats are not needed by law on our vehicles
Reservations for children: if your child is between 1 & 4 years old, or you wish to bring a child seat, contact us to make a booking.
Pick-Up Rules
- Our choice of contact method to advise of pick-up times is WhatsApp. Please ensure you provide your correct number during the reservation
- Some historic center addresses or difficult-access locations may require a nearby meeting point
- Hotels/hostels: Be ready at the entrance
- Airbnb/private homes: wait outside
- If we can’t easily reach your pick-up spot, we’ll arrange a meeting point
- Delays may occur due to traffic or other passengers

- Replacement vehicle arranged within 4 hours in case of breakdown

Shared & Private Transfer Logistics
- Choose between shared or private transfers from Paraty to Ilha Grande.
- Includes speedboat tickets—we use the fastest boats to Abraao Village.
- Pick-up directly from your accommodation in Paraty or neighbouring Jabaquara (unless access is restricted).
- WhatsApp notifications sent the night before with a more accurate pick-up time.
- All vehicles are modern, with air conditioning.
- Boats have sheltered seating, onboard life jackets, and emergency radio.
- Upon arrival at the Abraao pier (main tourist pier), you must walk to your accommodation or hire a local porter with a cart to help with luggage.
Shared Transfers:
- Vehicle picks up other passengers along the way.
- Choose from three departure windows:
- 06:30 – 07:30 = Estimated time of arrival 10:00
- 09:30 – 10:30 = Estimated time of arrival 13:00
- 14:00 – 15:00 = Estimated time of arrival 17:30
Private Transfer + Shared Speedboat:
- Choose your pick-up time between 06:00 and 16:30.
- You’ll be dropped off at the ferry terminal and where you take a shared speedboat to Abraao.
Duration (approximate, not including waiting time):
- Road: ~2 hours from Paraty to boat.
- Boat: ~25 minutes to Abraao Pier.
Add-On Transfer to Rio
You can add an onward transfer from Ilha Grande to Rio de Janeiro, including Rio airports, at a discount when booking this transfer.
Departure options from Ilha Grande:
- 10:00 – arrives Rio ~13:30/14:00
- 13:00 – arrives Rio ~16:30/17:30
- 17:30 – arrives Rio ~20:30/21:30

Pick-Up Locations
Convenient Pick-Up
- We collect you from your accommodation in the town of Paraty, or neighbouring Jabaquara
- Many streets of the Historic Centre in Paraty do not permit vehicles to enter. If staying on a street that does not allow you to be picked up directly, we will confirm a pick-up point for you after receiving your reservation.

Refunds, Changes & Credits
- Cancel 78+ hrs before: 75% refund or full credit
- Cancel 48 –78 hrs before: 50% refund or full credit
- Cancel <48 hrs before or no-show: No refund
- Change requests:
- 1 Free change if 24+ hrs before and space available
- R$50 fee <24 hrs before
- R$50 fee: Per each further change
