Approximate Travel Times

The transfer from the Rio airport to Ilha Grande(opens in a new tab) starts with road transport, followed by a boat crossing.

After departing Rio, the drive to the marina takes about 2 hours (depending on traffic). The boat crossing lasts approximately 25 minutes.

Please note that these times do not include any waiting periods for the van at the meeting point or at the boat departure point.

• Sheltered Speedboats: Enjoy covered seating that protects you from sun and rain (please bring sunscreen and a raincoat). Although there is covered seating on the boat, be prepared for potential rain and ocean spray.

We recommend sun protection, as some seats may be exposed to direct sunlight. Life jackets are provided on board, and the boats maintain radio contact with the coast guard.

Shared Departure Windows

Choose a departure from the Santos Dumont airport based on your flight time.

Departure 1:

• Van departures between 05:45 – 07:15 am
• Best for flights arriving until 06:00 am

Departure 2:

• Van departures between 08:45 – 10:15 am
• Best for flights arriving until 09:00 am

Departure 3:

• Van departures between 12:45 – 14:45 pm
• Best for flights arriving until 13:25 pm

Please understand that the listed flight arrival times are merely for informational purposes and do not promise on-time arrival at the meeting point if there are any delays or complications with your flight.

Delays can occur during holidays and events such as Carnival and New Year’s.

Pick-Up Time & Details

The night before your transfer, you’ll receive a WhatsApp message with your estimated scheduled pick-up time. Please ensure you get to the meeting point on time.

Unfortunately, we cannot account for delays caused by flights. If you miss the van, it will be marked as a No Show, and refunds or rescheduling won’t be available. In cases where the delay was out of your control you could seek compensation from your travel insurance.

The meeting point at Santos Dumont Airport (SDU) is located in the Departure terminal, not in the terminal where you arrive; it’s the one where passengers check in for their flights.

Please wait by the information desk, signed as INFRAERO, which is situated at the main entrance of the departure terminal.
