Suggested Timeline
- This is a private transfer service, meaning you are free to choose your own pick-up time and how long you stay at the park.
- When you arrive at the entrance of the falls you discuss with the driver the time you would like to meet again for your return.
- The drivers do not wait all day at the entrance. They come back at the time of your request
Suggested Day Trip Timeline
Here is the suggested timing according to what we have witnessed many of our previous clients have done. But there is no problem starting later or doing it differently!

| 07:00 AM – Pickup in Foz do Iguaçu | Your driver picks you up directly from your hotel so you can start early and stay ahead of delays. This time usually gets you to the falls when it opens at 08:00 am. |
| 08:00 AM – Arrival at Iguazú National Park | Once you reach the Argentina side of the falls, discuss a time to meet again for your return. Our drivers are helpful! They go there everyday and tend to want to give advice according to the perceived conditions of the day. |
| 08:15 AM – Train to the Devil’s Throat Station |
If arriving early - beat the crowds to the Devil’s Throat which is the highlight of the park. The first Ecological Rainforest Train (Tren de la Selva) on the Argentine side of Iguazu Falls departs from Central Station at approximately 8:15 AM to 8:30 AM. Train Frequency: Every 30 minutes (or every 15 minutes during high season). The train terminates at the Garganta del Diablo Station Last Train to Devil’s Throat: Approximately 3:30 PM Train ride is approximately 20 minutes |
| 08:45 AM – Walk from train to Devil’s Throat |
From the train to the Devil’s Throat lookout point is 1 km and takes approximately 20 minutes. Being the highlight of the park, most people spend up to 30 minutes at the lookout. Then you walk 20 minutes back to the train station, where you can take the next train to the Cataratas Station. |
| 10:20 AM - Walk the Superior Circuit & Inferior Circuit Trail |
From the Cataratas Station you access both the Superior and Inferior Trails. Both of these trails take approximately 1 hour each to complete. |
| 12:30 - Stop for Lunch | Near the Cataratas Station you will find the El Fortin steak restaurant, or you can get fast food at the Kiosks inside the park. Or take your own lunch and picnic on one of the trails. |
| 13:00 - Optional Boat Ride |
If you are not doing the boat ride in the park you may wish to plan to meet the driver now and head back to Brazil. If you do plan to do the boat trip you can organise an afternoon boat session at the entrance to the park. The boat ride takes approximately 2 hours to complete, which includes descending and ascending around 300 steps to the starting point and back. |
| 03:30 / 04:30 PM – Back in Brazil |
Meet your driver at the entrance for the return to your hotel in Foz do Iguaçu. The latest pick-up time you can choose for you return is when the park closes at 05:30 / 18:00 PM It usually takes about 1 hour to pass immigration again and return to your hotel. |

The itinerary above is typical, but by no means the only way to see the falls.
If the train is crowded when you arrive, you might prefer to walk the circuits first, before visiting the Devil’s Throat or taking the boat trip.
