Dune Buggy & Sandboarding in Huacachina
Huacachina is set around an incredible spring in the middle of a desert, surrounded by palm trees and nice buildings. Huacachina has become a Mecca for backpackers that come to enjoy the spectacular sand boarding and dune-buggy rides through the fantastic scenery. It is also a great place for motocross lovers.
Your included activity will leave between 4-4:30pm as the sand is not as hot and you will get great views at sunset. You will take the 4x4 sand buggies out into the desert stopping at some dunes for sand boarding. The ride around the sand-dunes is jerky like being in a rollercoaster. Sand boarding is optional, and you can stand, or lie on your front which is recommended. Once at the bottom, get out of the way of others coming down, and once you are all at the bottom the driver will come and get you to take you to the next sand-dune.
WHAT TO BRING:
Closed toe shoes or socks and sandals (the sand is very hot).
Sunglasses - Important for keeping sand out of your eyes if you dont have any ask driver for gogles.
Long sleeves and trousers to stop the sand burning when boarding
Hat and sunscreen - this is very important as the sun here will burn you very quickly
Camera (Important: put in a plastic bag to stop sand getting into it)
A fleece for the evening
