ConsultThis is your chance to not only go to Rio Carnival, but also to be part of it. You will receive your very own costume, then join one of the performing schools to participate in one of the greatest spectacles in the world! You will be part of a school and samba your way down the Sambadrome runway to the cheering of thousands of people. After the performance you will be able to keep your costume to take home as a souvenir of the day you participated in the most famous Carnival parade on earth.
The parade will be on the Saturday night during Carnival, and you will be given a time and place to meet, before changing into your costume. Then you will go to the starting point to join a group of about 70 other individuals wearing the exact same outfit before parading in the section of the school called the Alas (Wing). You will dance along the Sambadrome for about 40 minutes and you just need to follow the guidelines of your coordinator.
There is no age limitation and you do not need to know how to dance, you just need to enjoy yourself moving to the rhythm of the drums. By signing up with a Samba School you will experience one of the highlights of Rio Carnival up-close and personal.
In 2017 the parade will be on the Saturday, the 25th of February.
