Offering a tranquil getaway (plus party if you want it) Ilha Grande hasn't even got an ATM machine, its hard to believe it is only 3.5 hours south of Rio de Janeiro.
Note: the boat arrives to and departs from Ilha Grande at the Aquario Hostel dock and Abraao Dock. Walking around Ilha Grande is via sandy trails and not suited to baggage on wheels.

Campo Grande, a large city in the middle of no-where it seems, crowded with yellow trees and beautiful squares. The city is called Cidade Morena (Redish City), because of the red earth in the area. Backpackers usually use Campo Grande as the gateway to the Pantanal and Bonito.

There is no direct bus between Bonito and Foz do Iguacu you will change buses twice. First at the town of Dourados and the second at the town of Cascavel.
