Get a taste of the adventure found within the Pantanal! We give you the opportunity to visit the heart of the Pantanal, by staying at a base camp located in a region which can offer great contact with wildlife and nature. Experience the world's largest inland wetland!

- Route: Campo Grande -> Pantanal -> Campo Grande
- Included Activities: Nature and wildlife spotting walk, piranha fishing, night excursion, canoe trip, and wildlife spotting boat trip.

Airport Pick-up: If you will arrive to Campo Grande the same day as starting this trip, we will have our representative in Campo Grande meet you at the airport or bus terminal and take you to the departure point. You will need to send us your arrival details!

Hotel Pick-up: If you are staying the night in Campo Grande before departing on this trip, we will have our representative pick you up from your hotel and take you to the meeting point. Please send us your hotel details!

2) Return van transfer to the Pantanal from Campo Grande

Pantanal Expedition 3 Days & 2 Nights

In Spanish and Portuguese the word Pantanal (pantano) mean's swamp, but in this case it is a huge wetland in the centre of South America. The Pantanal covers 230,000 sq km's, of which 130,000 sq km's are in Brazil with the remainder being shared between Paraguay and Bolivia. The Brazilian Pantanal is split between two provinces; Mato Grosso and Mato Grosso do Sul, with the latter only being formed in the 1970's from the original Mato Grosso State. It is said that the Pantanal has the largest concentration of fauna in the world but it still comes down to luck for what you will get to see.

Day 1 Campo Grande - Pantanal

You will make your own way to Campo Grande in Brazil to begin this trip. If you send us your pick-up details we will have someone pick you up from the airport or bus station and transfer you to the Pantanal on the same day if possible.

Your van transfer or local bus will arrive to Buraco Dos Piranhas, where you will continue by 4X4 Jeep for the trip to the Pantanal Lodge.

On arrival to the Pantanal you will meet your guide and go over the itinerary for the next couple of days.

Day 2 Pantanal

Included Activities

Boat Trip - On the boat trip you will look for Black Howler Monkeys, Caiman Crocodiles, Toucans, Macaws and various other birds. The trip will last for approx. 2 hours and you will have a guide with you throughout the trip to explain the flora and fauna.

Trekking - walk through the wetlands in search of wildlife. Suitable for all fitness levels.

Jeep Safari - On this safari we will be looking for Caiman's, Marsh Deer's, Capybara (which are the largest rodents in the world) and with extreme luck, the chance to see a Jaguar!

Night Excursion - Nightfall brings out a different types of animals. Your guide will take you to search for these nocturnal critters and hear the sounds of the Pantanal at night.

Note: All activities are accompanied by an English speaking guide to explain the things you will see.

Day 3 Pantanal - Campo Grande

In the morning you will continue with your activities until after lunch when you will set out back to Campo Grande. The time of arrival in Campo Grande is usually between 8 - 10pm depending on road conditions on the day.

Facilities and Accommodation

At the lodge you sleep in modern dorm rooms, or you may upgrade to a private room during the reservation process. All food from the first nights dinner to the last days lunch is included as part of the trip and is all prepared for you.

You can buy soft drinks, beers and snacks on the property.
