Maracana Stadium Game Tickets & Tour- Pick-up from your accommodation in Rio de Janeiro and transfer to the Maracana Stadium with your guide. You will be given your tickets on the night of the game and escorted inside the stadium. Your guide will be on hand, and you will be given a safe meeting point for after the game, before your transport back to your accommodation.

Please note:

1) The start time of the games is not usually known until 1 week before the game when we will notify you of pick-up time. You will be picked up about 2.5hrs before kick-off time.

2) Games at the Marcana Stadium are usually scheduled for Sundays and Wednesdays, but sometimes Saturdays as well. Kick-off times for Sundays are usually 4:00pm or 06:30pm (sometimes 11am but rarely). Start times on Wednesdays are usually 07:30pm, 09:00pm or 10:pm.

3) Games can be cancelled or venues moved at short notice and this is out of our control. If this should happen you will be offered an alternative or a full refund.

WHAT TO EXPECT ON THE RIO FOOTBALL TICKETS FOR MARACANA TOUR

The following depicts the usual proceedings of the tour, but can be different depending on how many others are attending. About 2.5hrs before kick-off you are picked up from your accommodation, and will drive to a meeting area a couple of streets back from the stadium. Here you will meet your guide and wait for other people on the tour to arrive.

At the meeting area and on the way to the stadium you can grab beers and street food from the many local vendors and it is best to take advantage at this time if you wish to have a couple of drinks because state laws prohibits the sale of alcohol within the stadium.

Your guide will give you a briefing on what will follow with the tour and then escort you to the entrance of the stadium where you will receive your ticket before you enter. You will be in the undercover area and the guide will be on hand during the game to give you information should you require it and also help with anything you may need. After the game you will go to a meeting point where you are escorted back to the awaiting vehicles before returning your accommodation.

We advise that you to eat before you head to games as the food available is a bit junky and not a lot of variety, but do bring smaller denomination bills with you which make it easier to pay drink vendors. Although it is fine to take a camera, do not flash it around, but leave all other valuables back at your accommodation. We do recommend you bring sun protection if it is a game during the day, and sturdy shoes as there is some walking involved to and from the stadium.
