It´s also a place to have fun as it has lots of pubs and discos, and the city has excellent excursions in the outskirts to visit, including the Sacred Valley Of The Incas, the Inca Trail and Machu Picchu.
Peru has a very popular circuit for backpackers known as the "Gringo trail" that includes Lima, Paracas, Ica, Nazca, Arequipa (Colca Canyon), Puno (Lake Titicaca), Cuzco, Machu Picchu, and back to Lima.
