Van/Boat Transfer to Ilha Grande (Door to Island).

The easy way to get from Paraty to Ilha Grande! You will be picked up from the door of your accommodation in Paraty or Jabaquara and driven a few hours north in a van to where boats depart to Ilha Grande. Here you will be supplied your ticket for the crossing to the main pier of Abraao on the island.

FIRST DEPARTURE - pickup between 07:00 & 08:30 am

SECOND DEPARTURE - pickup between 10:00 & 11:30 am

THIRD DEPARTURE - pickup between 15:00 & 16:30

The exact pickup time depends upon the location of your accommodation and that of the other passengers, plus the behaviour of Rio traffic on the day of the transfer.

After you make a reservation we will ask for your WhatsApp number so that while the van is out picking up, the operational team can contact you to let you know when the van is in your area.

Notes:

Requires a minimum of 2 passengers.

This transfer only goes to Abraao on Ilha Grande. If staying at other parts of the island, your accommodation may be hard and expensive to get to from Abraao. It may be better to find alternative transport if not staying in or around Abraao.

Luggage allowance is one standard sized suitcase or backpack, and a small carry-on bag per person.

Expect delays around New Years, Carnival & other holidays.

Paraty Drop-off Areas

The vehicle can take you to most areas within Paraty and Jabaquara.

Exceptions include the following:

- Some streets in the historic centre where vehicles are not permitted to enter
- Paraty Mirim
- Any locations difficult or not safe for the vehicle to enter.

Paraty to Ilha Grande Van/Boat Transfer

You will be picked up from your accommodation in Paraty or Jabaquara and transferred by van to the closest point to the island where you will have an included boat ride to Abraao on Ilha Grande.

This is a pooled transfer where the driver picks up from accommodation all over Paraty & nearby Jabaquara.
