Located on the Bolivian shore of Lake Titicaca, the highest navigable lake in the world, the amazing Copacabana will enchant you with the spirituality born from the waters of a lake steeped in Inca myths. The town hosts a nice Plaza de Armas where you can visit its famous Basilica of Our Lady of Copacabana, and it is here that every year hoards of pilgrims come to pray for the Virgin of Copacabana.

You can get really good Bolivian dishes and you must try the lake trout. On the main street you will find loads of artisans that offer their great works.
While wondering the village take advantage of nice walks of the towns surroundings, and also consider a boat trip to the Islands of the Sun and the Moon. They´re both incredible, though Sun Island is a little bigger and well prepared for visitors to stay. You can easily spend a day walking the Sun island and visit the many ruins and spectacular views it has to offer. You can stay overnight in Yumani, a small town in the southern part of the island.
