Córdoba is the second largest city in Argentina and famous for its location as well as its historical past. Located in the Pampas (grasslands) of Argentina, Cordoba is surrounded by valleys and also the famous Sierras de Córdoba, which are home to amazing natural beauty and wildlife, even the elusive Condor has been seen here!

There is lots to see and do in Cordoba as it has a wealth of Plazas, parks and museums as well as over 50 theaters. The City also has a lively arts and music scene. Paseo de las Artes is where the local arts and crafts market (Saturdays and Sundays) is held and is well worth a visit.

If you are looking to party until dawn, then Cordoba also has this covered! It is a popular University City which means it is full of bars and restaurants with something for everyone.

Mendoza is at the heart of Argentina's wine region due to its warm and dry climate for most of the year, which is not only perfect for wine but also perfect for exploring it's many parks and local vineyards.

Mendoza is also famous for being an adventure centre for many outdoor activities such as horse riding, rafting, trekking and even ski-ing! (time of year dependent). The city has beautiful plazas and architecture, and is well worth spending your time just wandering its scenic tree lined streets.

Salta is one of Argentina's oldest cities and has managed to preserve its colonial charm better than most other cities in Argentina. It was founded in 1582 by Spaniards moving south from the Viceroyalty of Peru.

Salta city is the capital of the Salta province, and everything you can think of when you think Argentina can be found here. Good wines, big steaks, gauchos, and great people.

Take your time breathing in the culture found around the San Martin Plaza. Ride the cable-car to the summit of Cerro San Bernado and make your way down again on foot, then party the night away on Balcarce street where you will find a drinking establishment to suite everyone, including somewhere to see a Pena (Argentine folk dancing). Salta is a great place to spend a couple of days while backpacking Argentina.
