San Pedro de Atacama to Lima with Laura and Ben
Our experience with Green Toad is one we'll never forget. From their ongoing support and helpful service, to their choice of fantastic tours; they did everything possible to ensure we had an unforgettable trip through Bolivia and Peru.

Green Toad organised our entire experience and arranged our travel from San Pedro to La Paz, then on to Cusco via Lake Titicaca, and all the way up to Lima via Huacachina and Nazca.
Highlights for us had to be driving in a 4x4 jeep across the Uyuni salt flats, exploring Inca ruins, a homestay with indigenous people on Lake Titicaca, zip lining, rafting and trekking to Machu Picchu and dune buggy through the sand dunes of Huacachina. The whole itinerary was organised ahead of time, and we felt safe and comfortable for the entire trip. Their customer service was second to none and we were notified well in advance to any service amendments along the way. I cannot recommend green toad highly enough. If you are looking for a reliable company to organise you the trip of a life time then they are it!

Starting in San Pedro de Atacama, we did a three day jeep tour through the amazing Bolivian landscapes and on to Uyuni. It is hard to describe the things we saw. Volcanoes, geysers and incredible rock formations, not to mention thousands of Flamingo's, made this one of the best tours we have done. The Uyuni salt flats where beyond anything we could have imagined and we even got to stay in a hostel made from salt! We made lots of new friends amongst our tour group and for anyone who is thinking of heading to Bolivia- this is an absolute must do experience.
Our first trip with Green Toad finished in La Paz after an overnight bus ride from Uyuni. The bus was comfortable with huge reclining seats, WIFI and meals provided. The next leg of our journey was La Paz to Cusco. This trip took us to Lake Titicaca, the stunningly beautiful Amantani Island and on to Cusco via some amazing archaeological sites. Once again Green toad provided us with our hop instructions and the journey went without a glitch.

It's such a strange feeling being next to a body of water that could almost be the ocean whilst feeling the effects of the high altitude. The lake is one of the highest in the world at over 3,800m above sea level, so be sure to take it easy and take the time to acclimatise. The towns of Copacabana and Puno offer a great way of seeing Lake Titicaca, but if you want to experience it properly, then a homestay at Amantani Island is a must. Green Toad organised a pick up from our accommodation and the 3 hour boat trip that took us to one of the largest islands on the lake, where we stayed overnight in traditional house with a local family. It was a wonderful experience where we got to eat local food, wear traditional dress and learn all about the unique customs of those who, for generations, have lived on the lake

The journey from Puno to Cusco can feel long, but stops along the way at a beautiful look out, a museum and Inka temple made it all the more interesting. Arriving in Cusco, we completely fell in love with the place. It felt like stepping into a movie set- the windy cobbled streets and colonial architecture make it the perfect place to spend a few days exploring.
There is so much to do in Cusco and Green Toad allowed for the perfect amount of time to relax and enjoy it before organising a sacred valley tour for us. This was amazing and gave us our first real glimpses of Inca ruins and the incredible landscapes that surround Cusco. Next up was our hike, raft, biking and ziplining adventure to Macchu Picchu which was probably one of our best travel experiences to date.

After a crazy week of adventure we had time to relax in the desert oasis of Huacachina for a couple of days. The fun didn't stop though as we took part in an afternoon of adrenalin pumping dune bugging and sand boarding while we were there. From there it was a quick stop off in Nazca before finishing our trip in the beautiful coastal city of Lima.
I cannot thank Green Toad enough for organising us the trip of a lifetime!
